Reviews
Yes, I am a fan. A living relic of roadside America when truck stop diners were good. Recent visit had the Cheese Burger Basket which was just as good today as 25 years ago. My wife had the post roast which came with her choice of 2 sides one of which was homemade lemon pie that was truly outstanding. On the subject of hospitality, I heard the waitress (not a server, a waitress) talking to another customer about the Thursday special, I inquired if they thought it would last until 7pm. Honest, they offered to "hold me back some". I would give it 5 stars except The Broiler Room is very smoker friendly so you need to be a little forgiving and select your seat carefully and accordingly.
Glad I stopped here, one of the best, if not the best truck stop diners I have visited. Great service and delicious food, mark my name on the wall because I will be back.
I stopped by for some breakfast on my way to Atlanta. Ordered the Western Omlette was hash browns. My food came out 15 minutes later. My omlette was delicious. It tasted like real cheese on processed! Hooray!! Ham or sausage in the omlette? I chose ham. It was a good choice. Tasted like chopped ham not processed. Hash browns were done just right they were hash browns & not hash yellows. My waitress made surely I was ok. Good service. I love a good western omlette & it's hard to find a place that will not use "junk" for the simple ingredients. My breakfast was $7.39 which was a deal. The place is old school & refreshing. I will return!
As a driver I get tired of fast food. At the boiler room I have a large selection between home cooking dinners to some outstanding breakfast plates any hour of the day. I always leave satisfied from the large portions of food. The service is always a delight from the waitress all the way to the cook. Just down home country folks! I would recommend it to anyone that loves home cooking as much as I do
